Known Bugs

Restrictions

If any machines selected for monitoring cannot be reached, colgui will exit.

Only if user is root will the network speeds for eth devices be dynamic.
This may cause problems with versions of collectl prior to 1.5.9 which runs
ethtool regardless of who the user is.

They may be problems with some non-standard plot (-p and -c) with versions of
collectl before 1.5.6. This is particularly a problem with detail plots and
those that deal with plotting slab/mapped memory usage.

3.2.2 Apr 26, 2010
- updated copyright date
- removed --helpadvanced to and added --help and -x so now you get basic help
for both -h and --help and advanced help for -x just like collectl
- need to use --lustsvc instead of -L to tell collectl which lustre services to use
- fixed bug with reuse of $i in inner loop that only showed up with lustre
  [thanks Frederik]
- not correctly supporting new switches for nfs and lustre!

3.2.1 Dec 15, 2009
- clarified copyright notice
- remove hardcoded default path to collectl so it MUST (and should be) in
  user's path
- set $LibDir to binary directory if colplotlib.ph is there, otherwise look in
  /usr/share/collectl

3.2.0 Aug 21, 2009
- open source release

3.1.0 Mar 1, 2008
- changed default port number to 2655
- support for compound plots

3.0.0 Dec 15, 2006
- upgraded to work with new colplotlib.ph
- replaced methodology for creating custom plot. see colplot for more details

2.0
- changes to work with collectl V2, including requesting header when logging
- missed copying 'colver' and 'netmax' to other addresses when --homo

1.9
- created new directory structure for initParams.ph and initParams.cfg
  as /opt/hp/collectl/utils/lib
- using updated initParams which changes default memory summary plot to 2.6 form

1.8
- if can't find collectl in /usr/sbin, also look in /opt/hptc/sbin

1.7
- changed header for memory from KB to MB in initParams.cfg

1.6
- updated version of initParams.ph and initParams.cfg

1.5
- updated initParams.cfg to add NICE to cpu plots

1.4
- support for collectl lustre suboption enhancements

1.3
- need to use -MV when querying collectl for configuration if version
  is at least 1.6.4

1.2
- support for dealing with variable width lustre client data (-OM, -OR)
This involved changes to initParams.cfg and initParams.ph too
however this is NOT current support for generating plots associted with that data

1.1
- change -oh switch for collectl to -oH to suppress ALL headers since they're
not currently being written to socket
- make sure 'wait' is included in all the plots
- added interconnect support
- Fixed bug in initParams (didn't effect colplot) that set incorrect column
  numbers for detail plots
- Added --homogenous flag such that when set, only a single node will be
  queried for configuration information
Version 1.0
- This is the initial release
